We are fully insured with both a Comprehensive Workers’ Compensation Policy and a General Liability Policy through NEXT Insurance:

Montana Requirements
The State of Montana requires that anyone performing services must be covered either by:
An Independent Contractor Exemption Certificate (ICEC),
or
A Workers’ Compensation policy.

Why This Matters to You
Without these protections in place, the state can:
Levy fines up to $5,000 per occurrence
Reclassify the worker as your employee, making you responsible for back workers’ compensation, unemployment insurance, and payroll taxes
There have been documented cases where fines have exceeded $100,000.
In addition, homeowners' insurance does not cover service providers. If a worker is injured on your property and lacks proper coverage, the liability could fall on you.
Looking Ahead
In 2026, Montana will replace the ICEC with a licensing system. Penalties for hiring non-covered workers will become even stricter.
